Blending
Sterling's gravimetric batch weigh blenders provide precise blends of up to 8 free flowing components. The blenders operate on a "gain-in-weight" principle, where each component is metered into a "batch hopper" using a diamond gate metering device.

The SDD Digital Dosing System offers precise feeding for
almost any plastics machine, whether your application is
injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion. The SDD 2
dosing unit offers the ability to use dual additives at different
rates.
Sterling's volumetric screw additive feeders are the industry standard for metering of color concentrate, regrind or other additives. They feature modular design for one or two materials with an interchangeable stainless steel auger assembly.
The Sterling S150 is a microprocessor based controller used to operate the Sterling automatic dosing station.
The SGA Series gravimetric batch blending system features precision auger metering of all ingredients and can be used for regrind, powder and difficult or hard-to-meter materials.
The SGC Series is designed for continuous blending applications. The SGC Series offers the most homogeneous blend available versus common batch-type blenders or mixers. Only the material weigh hoppers are mounted on precision load cells, eliminating the weight and vibration of the metering auger and motor assemblies.
The GH-F Series gravimetric feeder adds colorant or other free-flowing material to your process, based on a selfcalibrating controller that makes recalibration unnecessary and eliminates the overfeeding that typically accompanies volumetric feeders.
The GH extrusion control and GH-M extruder rate monitor units match the extruder throughput, track material usage, and can control extruder output with the optional control system.
CoExpertTM is a Microsoft Windows?-based computer package used in conjuction with HydReclaim blending and feeding equipment to control the extrusion process. It can be used on single or multi-layer applications, including wire and cable, profile, blown or cast film, or sheet. CoExpert reduces material usage, improves product quality, and increases productivity.
The SPB Series blender is
designed for continuous extrusion applications for powder, pellet or micro-pellet materials and offers the most homogeneous blend available compared to common batch-type blenders or mixers. Materials like PVC, wood flour and additives can be efficiently blended for your operation. Twin screw feeders can also be provided for non-free-flowing materials.
The A3 Blender Control and Data Acquisition System is a data collection network program that can be used to download and analyze inventory run rates, run status, and target vs. actual recipe set points. Using A3, you can upload recipes and access recipe storage book functions, as well as start and stop blenders and feeders.
SIT Series batch weigh inventory and density monitor units are designed to mount on an existing bin. The SIT Series accurately monitors material usage by weight with 1/10% span accurate cantilever load cells.
